ABOUT | US

A slice of optimism never goes down the wrong way! Our little risk 10 years ago may now cause some lengthy work days and a few sleepless lights, but when we packed up our old kit bags in 2006 and travelled to the other side of the world, we found our adventure.

We wouldn’t change a thing! Inspired by working in New York’s eclectic Bowery district, during our mid-life shake up trip, we harboured our passions and built a creative space for the lovely folk here in Yorkshire.

We hope to be a hive and catalyst for whatever expressive activity takes your fancy. Teamed with our love for a cup of the good stuff, we built The Bowery Coffee House and Creative Space for all to enjoy.

Our heart lies at the coffee machine, with Ged’s barista skills pulling Allpress espresso shots to fuel the caffeinated creative happenings of our workshops upstairs. From here, our arms extend to local (and not so local) artists to showcase their talents and wares out front.

Our passion for offering genuine customer service and a menu to satisfy any palate, allows us to welcome back our lovely locals and visitors alike to enjoy our courses, workshops and community atmosphere.

So step on in to The Bowery family, pull up a pew and just simply ‘be’.
